Privacy Policy
How AutoReveals collects, uses, discloses, and protects information. AutoReveals is a business tool for automobile dealers, intended for use in the United States.
This Privacy Policy explains how AutoReveals, Inc. (“AutoReveals,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the AutoReveals platform, including our website at autoreveals.com and our applications (together, the “Service”).
AutoReveals is a business tool for automobile dealers and their authorized team members (“you” or “user”). The Service helps dealers discover vehicle listings from online marketplaces, evaluate vehicles with market and history information, and — where the dealer enables it — communicate with sellers through their own connected accounts with the help of our AI assistant. The Service is intended for business use in the United States. By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide.
- Account and identity: your name, email address, phone number, dealership or business name, role, and account settings.
- Organization information: your Organization’s name, its members, seats, roles, and invitations (when a member invites a colleague, we process the invitee’s email and name to send the invitation).
- Preferences and configuration: your sourcing criteria, saved searches, watches, deal preferences, guardrails, notes, and notification settings.
- Billing information: your subscription plan and status. Payment-card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, not by AutoReveals.
- Communications: messages you send to us for support or feedback.
1.2 Information generated through your use.
- Usage activity: the features you use and the listings you view, save, contact, or dismiss.
- Device and connection data: IP address, browser or device type, operating system, and similar technical information, and, if you enable notifications, a device or push identifier.
- Diagnostic data: logs and error and performance information used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
1.3 Information relating to listings and sellers. To provide the Service, we process information contained in publicly available marketplace listings — for example, vehicle descriptions, prices, photos, general location, and the contact information a seller has posted — and, where you communicate with a seller through your own connected account, the content of those communications. This information is processed on behalf of, and at the direction of, our dealer users. See Section 7 for how we handle information about people who are not our users.
1.4 Information from third parties. We obtain vehicle market value estimates, vehicle history information, and vehicle specifications from third-party data providers and/or generate them with our own models, in order to provide the Service.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of sensitive personal information, and the Service is not designed to gather them.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to: provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Service and your account; authenticate you and manage your Organization, seats, and invitations; personalize your feed, searches, watches, and recommendations; discover, score, and surface listings that match your criteria; operate the AI assistant and, where you enable it, help you communicate with sellers through your own connected accounts within the guardrails you set; provide market value estimates, vehicle history, and specifications; deliver notifications and alerts through the channels you enable; process billing and manage your plan; monitor, debug, secure, and improve the Service, including fraud and abuse prevention; communicate with you about your account, security, support, and material changes; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Automated Processing and Artificial Intelligence
The Service uses automated processing, including artificial intelligence, to classify and value listings, generate deal analysis, and — where you enable it — draft communications to sellers that are sent from your own connected account at your direction within the guardrails you set. These outputs are estimates and may be inaccurate, are provided for informational purposes only, are not guarantees, and are not financial, legal, or professional advice. Human-in-the-loop controls are available (see our Terms of Service), and you remain responsible for your own decisions. Where applicable law gives you rights in connection with automated decision-making, you may contact us (Section 9) to request information, human review, or to object.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We disclose information only as described here:
- Within your Organization. Information you generate may be visible to other members of your Organization according to their roles; owners and administrators can view member activity and manage the Organization.
- Service providers. We share information with vendors that process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use to providing services to us, in the following categories: cloud infrastructure and hosting; database and storage; payment processing; text-message (SMS) delivery; email delivery; messaging and notification delivery; and artificial-intelligence and analytics providers. These vendors are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us and not for their own purposes.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of AutoReveals, our users, or others, or to investigate fraud or security issues.
- Business transfers. If AutoReveals is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to notice as required by law.
SMS and text-message information. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. We will not sell or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in information with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes at any time.
5. Notifications, Alerts, and SMS Consent
You choose how the Service contacts you, and you can change these choices at any time in your settings.
- In-app and push notifications. We send in-app and push notifications (for example, when a saved search matches, a price drops, or a communication needs your attention). You can manage or turn these off in your settings.
- Text messages (SMS). If you provide and verify your mobile number and opt in, we send account and alert text messages — for example, deal-match, price-drop, seller-reply, and account notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using the Service; you can receive the same information through other channels. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP or by turning off SMS in your settings. As stated in Section 4, your SMS opt-in information is never shared with any third parties.
- Email and other channels. We send account, transactional, and, where you connect them, other alert channels you enable. You can manage these in your settings.
This section concerns communications to you, our user. Communications the Service helps you send to sellers are sent from your own connected accounts at your direction, and you are responsible for them as described in our Terms of Service.
6. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business and legal purposes. In general: account, Organization, preference, and activity data are retained while your account is active and deleted or de-identified within a reasonable period after account closure; billing records are retained as required for tax, accounting, and legal-compliance purposes; and security, audit, and diagnostic logs are retained for a limited period appropriate to their purpose. We may retain certain information longer where required by law, to resolve disputes, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to enforce our agreements.
7. Information About People Who Are Not Our Users
Because the Service helps dealers evaluate and contact sellers, we process information relating to private-party sellers whose listings appear on public marketplaces, and — where a dealer communicates with a seller through the dealer’s own connected account — the content of those communications. We process this information on behalf of, and at the direction of, our dealer users, to provide the Service to them.
If you are a seller or other individual and would like to access, correct, or delete information we may hold about you, or to object to our processing, contact us at privacy@autoreveals.com. Because we obtain this information from public sources rather than from you directly, please provide enough detail (for example, a listing link or the name under which a listing was posted) for us to locate the relevant records. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and connected accounts. We will handle security incidents and any required notifications in accordance with applicable law.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have some or all of the following rights: to know and access the personal information we hold about you; to correct inaccurate information; to delete your personal information; to portability of your data; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information); to limit the use of sensitive personal information; to appeal a decision on a request; and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@autoreveals.com or use your account settings. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. We will verify your request as required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California residents. California residents have the rights described above under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit. Because we do not sell or share personal information, we do not offer a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link; you may still submit any privacy request at privacy@autoreveals.com.
Other U.S. states. Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights, which you may exercise using the same contact above.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Service is a business tool intended for automobile dealers and is not directed to children. It is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. International Users and Data Location
The Service is intended for users in the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States. We do not direct the Service to, or design it for, residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.
12. Third-Party Links and Content
The Service references and links to third-party platforms and content, including marketplace listings. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a revised “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice as required by law. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
